A Quick Encouragment
from a mom on spring break ๐
Happy Friday Friends,
I hope your week has held more mercies than messes, but if not, grab that cup of coffee (or glass of wine if itโs evening) and settle in for our weekly chat.
This week I am keeping it simpleโฆ because sometimes simple is exactly what we need.
We are in the middle of spring break over here, and I have been soaking up family time. Easter with my parents was one of those weekends I will tuck away in my heart for a long time. We attended Easter service set in the valley near their house with mountains rising up all around us, and I sat there thinking, this is it. This is what it is all about.
He is risen. And the mountains knew it too.
If you are in spring break mode this week, can I just say, I see you. Because somehow a week off from the regular routine does not always feel like a break, does it? The dishes still pile up. The kids still need feeding. The laundry does not take a vacation just because you did. And somewhere between trying to make memories and keep the house from falling apart, you can end up more worn out than when you started.
Grace for the gap between what you planned and what actually happened. He is in both versions of the story.
Just be where your feet are. That is enough.
Psalm 46:10 tells us to โbe still and know that I am God.โ Not to be productive. Not to be perfect. Just to be still and know. Let that be your anchor this weekend, in the chaos and the fun and the moments that do not go according to plan. He is God in all of it.
The to-do list will be there on Monday. This moment will not.
Before I go, my April Mom Mood Board is live, and I would love for you to check it out! It is full of things I am loving this season -- linked here.
Because motherhood is hard. But you? You are held.
Until next week (where we will dive back into our busy season series), friends, Blair
